Alone. Emptiness. Sadness. All these feelings, held in and covered with a thick coating. All forever chained inside of her and cradled gently. It was a sensitive subject, granted, but nothing she couldn't warp around and change the subject. Now she padded across No Mans Land, because that was what she was. A nobody. She belonged to no pack, to no mate, to no one. And as she already had stuffed all these emotions down her pitty throat, she let no whimper, not one tear trickle down her cursed face. It was a privalige, those tears she had already shred, and she had already used up the most precious of pathetic cries. Spindle shook her head as if to toss the thoughts away, and laid next to a knotted and twisted dark brown trunk of a tree. Laying her head on her paws, and sweeping away her thoughts. Although one still lingered, like an unwanted odor or stars that shine to brightly and disturb your slumber through your eyelids. Yet she slept, and slept, until a sound, a very disturbing noise brought her back to reality. Horrible reality.

Luna trotted along the border, her paws hitting the floor of the forested area silently as the wind whispered in her ear, goading her along. She was tired after a long day of marking borders, and there was little left on her mind to be sorted out beyond the immediate problems of finding proper shelter within her borders and more wolves to take up that extra space.
Her former pack had been very large with a vast territory that ran for miles on end. Memories flooded over her in torrents, but she repressed them with practiced ease. She could no longer mourn what was lost, as it was in the past and she had no say in what cruelty nature brought forth in her life.
Luna's ears pricked as she came upon a new scent and the presence of another being was made apparent to her. Another she-wolf lay before her, sleeping quietly. Luna did not want to startle her awake so she kept her distance, moving in a circular path around the side before startling a rabbit out of a bush, where it tramped between them in a desperate effort to escape noisily enough to wake the entire forest, let alone the female nearby.

Spindle smelled the wolf before noticing the swift hare sprinting towards her. As if on instinct, she leaped out of the rabbits way and stared in the direction of the wolfish scent. This was no mans land, only rogues were to roam here. With that information, she instantly shrunk and hid in the roots were she slept. It was almost a submission, but the girl new better than that. Rogues or outcasts can be vicious. Cruel. There is always a reason they were shunned. And now she was in the pressence of one. Though the wolf had many scents on it, she was still wary. It could be a newly banned member. She scraped her belly on the ground, its dark hair becoming brown from dirt. Cowaring.

Luna jumped backwards after the rabbit scampered away and narrowed her eyes to examine the reaction of the other wolf. She was surprised to find that no hostility came from her demeanor, but as an alpha was smart enough to know that this could change at any moment, so she stayed a far enough distance away to allow both of the wolves to feel secure.
"Good afternoon."
Luna said, no hesitation showing in her voice. She looked the wolf up and down slowly, examining body structure and appearance to see if the wolf was a typical threat or simply moving through the area.
"I am Luna, Alpha Female of the Lunar Pack."
